Baby J's Room

Baby J's Room

Baby J's Room by superdupergirl on Polyvore

1. I wanted a good, cheap white crib and I found it at Target. (where else?)
2. I just love this mobile on Etsy.
3. I'm envisioning these in a big frame collage. Both are from Etsy,  here and here.
5. Curtain material! I saw it on Project Nursery and fell in love. You can buy it here.
6. Hoping to score a good dresser and paint it a cheery yellow, with 7. these knobs from World Market.
8. I bought a big pink basket from Target that I'm going to put stuffed animals in, but I love these too for all those tiny things like nail clippers.

The paint color is Eiffel Tower by Olympic.

Surprise!

Star Wars Nursery

Star Wars Nursery by superdupergirl on Polyvore

I'm pregnant with #2 which means I've been going insane checking out nurseries on pinterest and planning away. I'm not due until November so we won't know No. 2's gender for several more weeks but I've been dreaming about different girls and boy's nursery possibilities.

1. Chevron sheets with Star Wars bumpers.
2. I'm in love with the smooth lines on this crib.
3. I LOVE this light fixture from Young House Love's collection.
4. This rug from target is a great color.
5. I have pinned a million cobalt pieces of furniture so I would love a bright blue dresser/changing table with these etsy star wars prints (7) above it.
6. I WANT these nesting dolls. I think they would be great for playtime.
8. The walls in the bedroom are already painted this color from when we moved in, knowing it would eventually become a nursery. Thank god I had the foresight to choose a handsome color I liked no matter what the gender.

Oh Hey!

I'm alive, I promise. I'm actually trying an orange juice and baking soda facial right now and since I have to let it sit for 20 minutes I thought it was the perfect amount of time to dust my living room write a blog post. We went to San Diego for my brother's graduation from boot camp and it was insane, but that's another post for another day.

We're about to get our taxes back and I'm so excited to do the bathroom with that money. We still need to finish buying tiles and backerboard and all of that but I would LOVE to get it done by my birthday in March. Finding the time for it is really going to be the hardest part. Here's a thrown-together-in-15-minutes mood board for the bathroom:

Ignore that whole orange paint behind the floating shelves, I was too lazy to find more. Anyway, the idea is to have the 12x12 tiles as the floor continued into the shower surround and putting in a 4 inch strip of tile around the top with the glass mosaic. The walls will be Rockport Grey and I plan on getting big fluffy white towels to go with the shiny new bright white curtain. I'm pretty much dying of excitement and I cannot wait.

In The Mood

Hooray, I finally made a mood board for the kitchen! I still have to run it by Chris but I think he'll approve since he's usually pretty easy going about the house decorating. I didn't spend long on it, so excuse the hurried look to it, but I just wanted to put it all together and see if I loved it as much as I thought I would. So without further ado, here's the plan:

Kitchen

A few notes:
I can't decide on the pendant lights but I'll probably hang one over the sink and two over the bar.
The curtains are just a placeholder until I can find a funky ikat print that I love. I'll probably make six panels and hang them in the living room and in the kitchen to keep it looking cohesive.
I can't decide if I'll paint the bar stools or not but I'm pretty in lurve with them.
I want on old rotary phone so badly. Hopefully in a fun, bright color like this yellow one. We don't have a house phone but there's a box in the wall of the kitchen for one so I thought I would get a fun retro one that would be more for looks than function.

How was your Thanksgiving? Ours went pretty smoothly, but we didn't have to cook anything (I was definitely thankful for that!) Lily was great and pretty happy even though we kept her up through her afternoon nap. Two days before thanksgiving was our "housiversary" (infinitely fun to say- try it!) which I was incredibly excited about and also in a state of disbelief. We've lived in our ugly-cute little 3 bedroom for a year now. How crazy is that? This year is going to be the year of big changes though. Now that we're settled, it's time to change things up.
